I've had a couple of small paint chips, but nothing too bad. An email to the factory might work.
Small - small combos are always to be avoided, but you might want to look at your front derailleur
adjustment. I put in a Phil Wood BB bearing and adjusted it right to left to get the chain line I wanted
and so far no chainsuck, but it always happens when you least expect it on those steep climbs
when you want really the small ring.

I got the N.P. Faema in 2007. I got it with Chorus, mostly but with an Miche alloy chainwheel and crankset instead of the Chorus. They needed to put a Centaur bottom bracket to fit the crankset. The biggest problem I've had is some paint chipping. I haven't been able to find a color that matches. Let me know if you find one. Also, be careful not to shift into the small cog and the small chainwheel. You'll get chainsuck which wil chip paint off the chain stay. I learned that the hard way. I crashed once and bent the derailleur hanger but the shop put it back into perfect alignment. That's the nice thing about steel.
